Hi there! I'm Katie, a Licensed Social Worker based in South Elgin, Illinois. I believe that every person has the strength to create meaningful change in their life – sometimes, we just need a supportive guide to help us find our way.

My journey into counseling comes from a genuine passion for helping people navigate life's most challenging moments. I've spent years working with individuals who are dealing with some of life's toughest battles – from healing after experiencing intimate partner violence to managing the complex emotions surrounding eating disorders and trauma.

I specialize in supporting adults and teenagers (13+) who are struggling with anxiety and depression, mood disorders, difficult life transitions, and healing from traumatic experiences. My professional background allows me to work with a wide range of challenges that people face in their daily lives.

My approach is straightforward and compassionate. I'm not here to judge or tell you what to do, but to walk alongside you as you discover your own path to healing. I blend different therapeutic techniques – including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Mindfulness – to create a personalized approach that truly works for you.

When I'm not in the office, you'll likely find me unwinding at a live concert or comedy show, or spending quality time with my family (and definitely snuggling my adorable nieces and nephews). I believe in practicing self-care and finding joy, and I'm passionate about helping my clients do the same.
