Sara Lee, LCSW
Mental Health Counselor (South Elgin office or telehealth)
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Illinois, Wisconsin, and North Carolina, with a Master’s Degree from the University of Michigan. I specialize in women's mental health and helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, bipolar disorder, grief, and life transitions. I also have a certification in Perinatal mental health (PMH-C). My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, valued, and empowered to make meaningful changes.

My approach is client-centered and strengths-based, meaning I believe you are the expert on your own life. I take the time to listen, understand your concerns, and work collaboratively to develop a care plan that aligns with your goals and values. Using a trauma-informed and eclectic approach, I integrate techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), CBT for Insomnia (CBT-I), Dialectical Behavior therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) to tailor treatment to your unique needs.

Above all, I want to remind my clients of their worth and help them rediscover hope, even in difficult moments. You don’t have to go through this alone—I’m here to support you every step of the way.

Outside of my practice, life is wonderfully busy with two very young children who keep me on my toes. I love spending time with my family, reading, crafting, and being outdoors. I believe in embracing life’s small moments and building in daily positive experiences to find balance and joy.

If you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply need a space to process your emotions, I’d love to help.
