Savannah Guy, LSW

Mental Health Counselor (Geneva office or telehealth)

I am a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) based in Geneva, Illinois, with a Master of Social Work degree from Aurora University. My experience primarily involves working with teens and adults, though I am also comfortable working with children as young as six. I provide therapy for individuals, couples, and families, offering a supportive space for those seeking guidance and personal growth. Having worked in various community health settings, I am well-equipped to address a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, substance use, life stressors, and emotional regulation challenges. I am dedicated to continuous learning and frequently participate in professional training and collaboration with other experts to refine my skills.

As a therapist, I believe in creating a safe and accepting environment where clients feel free to be their authentic selves. Every person’s journey is unique, and I tailor each session to fit my client’s personality, strengths, and goals. My approach prioritizes validation, empowerment, and personal growth, ensuring that clients feel heard, supported, and challenged in a meaningful way.

I draw from several therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, helping clients reframe negative thought patterns, build emotional regulation skills, and improve relationships through healthy communication and boundary-setting. While these are my primary approaches, I am also exploring additional modalities such as EMDR, art therapy, and play therapy to expand my therapeutic toolkit. My goal is to help clients navigate their challenges and unlock their full potential.

Outside of therapy, I enjoy staying active, spending time with friends and family, and catching a good movie or concert. I also love traveling—especially to warm destinations whenever I get the chance. If you're ready to take the next step toward healing and growth, I would be honored to support you on your journey.
