Stephanie Klewin, LPC

Mental Health Counselor (South Elgin office or telehealth)

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). I earned my Master of Clinical Mental Health Counseling degree from Adler University. I enjoy providing treatment to young adults, adults and couples in outpatient private practice settings.

As a therapist, I summarize my approach as “human to human.” While I provide an unbiased perspective, I also promise to deliver a genuine connection throughout our journey together. You do not have to face life alone, and you are capable of creating positive change in your life. I am here to help by utilizing evidence-based tools to help you persevere through life’s challenges.

I treat concerns including stress, anger management, depression, anxiety, major life transitions, grief and loss, trauma, self-esteem, relationship concerns, women's issues, and chronic illness/pain.

I deliver an eclectic, evidence-based approach to treatment. I admire your choice to engage in therapy, and recognize your autonomy in treatment preferences. To guide us, I often utilize tools from Cognitive Behavior therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT), and Solution-Focused therapy.

In my free time, I enjoy fostering animals, playing guitar, kayaking, crocheting, drinking coffee, and spending time with my cats.  I look forward to assisting you in your journey.
